A BFA and BA in Drawing prepares to students to think creatively and offers a unique perspective on life and problem solving.  After taking Drawing I and Drawing II as part of the Foundation Program, students may decide that drawing is their passion.  FHSU has several classes to offer to Drawing majors:  Figure Drawing, Drawing III and Advanced Drawing.  Figure Drawing introduces the figure as subject in art making.  Students draw from a live model as they develop skills in proportion and figure/ground relationships.  Drawing III further explores concept development as well as introduces new techniques in screen printing, collage and alternative media/presentation.  Advanced Drawing courses are for independent study and personal exploration of materials and concepts.

FHSU BFA and BA Drawing graduates have pursued careers in teaching, art therapy, gallery and art centers, and illustration. Some graduates have pursued graduate degrees across the country to then teach at the college level.
