Drawing can take the form of many mediums:  representational graphite and charcoal drawings to contemporary collage with found materials to installation.  The MFA in Drawing at FHSU will push material and conceptual development as the student strengthens formal skills.

The MFA in Drawing is a 60 credit hour program focusing on studio exploration and contemporary and historical art research.  Individual studios are provided for all MFA students.  Studio and Teaching Assistantships are available and provide hands-on teaching experience.  Visiting Artists from around the country come to our department for critiques and workshops.  In the past artists such as, Anne Pearce, Hugh Merrill and Mark Ritchie have come to talk and work with drawing students.
